At Spring nurseries we follow the early years voluntary food guidelines which means everything prepared on site is healthy, nutritious and helps your children try out a variety of foods.

Snack time at Spring Nursery

While we are in lock down and staying home, we thought you might need some ideas for snacks each day. Children typically have a snack in the morning and afternoon at our settings and enjoy time out from learning and sharing social time with their peers. Try some of our ideas below:

  • Monday – Wholemeal pitta fingers, tomato slices and cheese cubes with water and milk to drink.
  • Tuesday – Breadsticks and vegetable slices with water and milk to drink.
  • Weds – Toasted crumpet, vegetable oil spread and water or milk to drink.
  • Thursday – Homemade cheese scone (warmed) and water or milk to drink.
  • Friday – Pitta fingers , tzatziki and cucumber slices with water or milk to drink.
